Online marketing firm ReachLocal named Josh Claman as its new chief revenue officer, reporting to Nathan Hanks, president.

The Woodland Hills-based company helps businesses acquire, maintain and retain customers via the Internet.

“There is a sea change occurring as (small and medium-sized businesses) shift their marketing spending from offline to online,” said Claman. “I am excited to join the team at ReachLocal. They are a leader in the market and have a compelling combination of a robust technology platform, world-class sales and services teams, and the right vision to execute against.”

Claman has more than 25 years of experience building and leading multi-billion dollar sales and service organizations across Asia, Europe and the Americas. He worked the past 10 years at Dell in executive sales leadership and management roles, most recently as the company’s vice president and general manager of the public and large enterprise business in the Americas.

“Josh has deep experience, both in the technology market and managing large and successful global sales teams,” said Hanks. “We are excited to have him lead our next phase of growth.”

Claman attended the Advanced Management Program at Oxford University. He received an MBA from University of South Carolina and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
