EXECUTIVE SUMMARY TThis year’s List of Largest Valley Public Companies consists of 50 companies, with Walt Disney Co. placing first. Two companies are new to the List: Dole Food Company Inc. (13th) and Tutor Perini Corporation (20th). Dole, with headquarters in Westlake Village, is the world’s largest producer and marketer of fresh fruits and vegetables with $7.15 billion in revenue. Tutor is one of the largest general contractors in the U.S. with headquarters in Sylmar. Amgen Inc. (2nd), Public Storage (3rd), Northrop Grumman Corp. (4th) and Health Net Inc. With $29.5 billion in revenue, it is one of the largest media conglomerates in the world. Led by President and CEO Robert Iger, the media and entertainment giant has 11 subsidiaries and four business segments: media networks, parks and resorts, studio entertainment and consumer products.
