The California Lutheran University Center for Economic Research and Forecasting will present its 2011 Fourth Quarter California and United States Economic Forecast on Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center in Studio City. The event is scheduled from 7:30 to 9 a.m. CERF Executive Director Bill Watkins will present the forecast and answer questions. CERF provides local, state and national forecasts for government, business and nonprofit leaders using innovative economic models. Watkins has been providing what many have called accurate and unflinching forecasts for more than 10 years and has been widely published in academic journals, traditional media and new media. Watkins holds a doctorate in economics, and previously served as an economist with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. The United Chambers of Commerce of the San Fernando Valley is sponsoring the event.
