Pacoima non-profit MEND announced its participation in the Global Product Donation Program of Henry Schein Cares, a program created by Henry Schein Inc.
Henry Schein Inc. is a Fortune 500 company and the largest provider of health care products and services to medical, dental and veterinary office-based practitioners.
As a participant in the program, MEND, which stands for Meet Each Need with Dignity, will receive health care products ranging between $5,000 and $25,000 in value.
The program, aims to expand access to health care for undeserved population around the world by donating health products to select health professionals and their organizations.
MEND is a multi-service poverty relief center, which serves as many as 32,000 poverty-level clients each month. In a prepared statement, company officials said the grant will enable the organization to more effectively carry out their mission to break bonds of poverty and expand its ability to provide care to children and families in the San Fernando Valley.
