Two San Fernando Valley companies were recognized by aerospace and defense giant Northrop Grumman Corp. in its annual supplier awards program. Allan Aircraft Supply Co. LLC in North Hollywood and Valley-Todeco Inc., in Sylmar were among the 50 companies named as Platinum Source Preferred Awardees. Allan Aircraft manufactures hydraulic fittings and Valley-Todeco, a division of Alcoa Global Fasteners, makes bolts and slotted entry bearings. The awards honor companies achieving distinction in product quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and lean processes. “In today’s current economic environment, our success depends on the affordability of our products and services,” said Chuck Wands, sector vice president and chief financial officer, Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems. “These suppliers have demonstrated a commitment to excellence, and I congratulate them on their achievements and support of Northrop Grumman.” Allan Aircraft has been Platinum Source Preferred awardee twice before, and Valley-Todeco has received the award three times before.
