THQ Using Food Trucks to Market New Game

Video game publisher THQ Inc. will hit the streets of Los Angeles and San Francisco with a food truck connected to its upcoming new game, “Homefront.” The North Korea-inspired Pyongyang Express will serve tacos, burritos and rice bowls and offer customers the chance to play “Homefront” on Xbox 360 consoles. Set in 2027, “Homefront” is a first-person shooter game following members of the American Civilian Resistance as they battle the invading Korean People’s Army. The Pyongyang Express will operate in Los Angeles from Feb. 22 to March 21, and appear at the grand opening of Truckit Fest at Union Station on March 6. The trucks are an embodiment of the spirit of fun-filled entertainment that THQ is about, said Tyrone Miller, public relations director for the Agoura Hills-based company.
