24 Hour Fitness has closed down a Palmdale location and a new gym is moving in early next year, according to a local brokerage firm. NAI Capital Inc. said Palmdale Fitness Club signed a long-term lease last month valued at more than $1.3 million for the former 17,065-square-foot 24 Hour location at Palmdale Towne Square. Tristan Greenleaf, a senior associate with NAI who represented the new gym, said Palmdale Fitness Club’s lease starts Jan. 1, just in time to take advantage of people looking to make good on New Year’s resolutions. “Gym deals are really common in the fall, because everyone wants to open up for New Year’s traffic,” he said. 24 Hour moved out at the end of November, he said. Senior vice president John Cserkuti represented the landlord in the deal.
