Cruise operator Princess Cruises has signed a 15-year lease renewal for its Santa Clarita headquarters.

The lease is for 270,000 square feet of office space in four buildings in Valencia Town Center.

Alan Buckelew, president and CEO of Princess Cruises, said the city’s support and commitment to providing a business-friendly environment were important factors in the company’s decision to remain in the area.

“One of the key reasons we located to Santa Clarita in the first place was the quality of life for our employees and we’re happy this will continue,” Buckelew said.

Princess Cruises moved its headquarters to Santa Clarita from Century City in 2001. Before moving to the city, the company had a customer service center in Valencia Town Center since 1998.
