Burbank-based healthcare publisher Payers & Providers Publishing LLC will move into new markets after partnering with a similar publisher based in Northern California. Payers & Providers Publishing and MCOL Inc., in Modesto, plan to mpre than double the readership of the California Edition of Payers & Providers, a weekly healthcare business news publication. They also plan to launch editions in other U.S. markets and develop a national edition. “Payers & Providers is one of the best new healthcare publications in California,” said MCOL President Clive Riddle of the publication that launched in July 2009. “To have the opportunity to build it into a national brand is an exciting challenge that I look forward in executing in the coming months.” One of the first products the companies will market together will be a survey of the salaries earned by the chief executive officers of non-profit hospitals in California, the statement said. The Modesto company publishes healthcare business information and offers online memberships, newsletters, webinars, training sessions and other goods and services to healthcare professionals.
