On Assignment Inc.’s Nurse Travel division has been awarded a five-year General Services Administration contract to provide federal agencies with nurses and nurse practitioners, the Calabasas-based professional staffing firm announced. The contract covers professional and allied healthcare staffing services for all federal healthcare facilities, which include the Veterans Administration, Indian Health Services and Department of Defense facilities. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with GSA facilities to fill their short- and long-term staff vacancies,” said Kathryn Hoffman-Abby, CEO of On Assignment Nurse Travel. The contract enables On Assignment, Inc. to bid on contract nursing positions at hundreds of government facilities across the county, increasing the positions available to travel nurses.
