JBL and Roxy to launch line of branded headphones

Northridge-based JBL, Inc., a unit of Harman International Industries, Inc., and Roxy, a brand of Quicksilver, Inc., have joined forces to create a new line of branded headphones and portable audio products. The multimedia products will combine Roxy’s fashion sense, which targets adventuresome young women, with JBL’s pro-sound technology. The first products, slated to launch in Q2 of 2009, will be a line of co-branded headphones in fashion colors. The products are lightweight, compact, easy to carry and will be priced affordably. Roxy produces and distributes branded apparel, footwear, accessories and related products. JBL designs, manufactures and markets audio and infotainment products for automotive, consumer and professional markets. Eric Billingsley
