What actions can be taken to combat climate change was on the agenda at the Governors’ Global Climate Summit in Los Angeles. Representatives from more than 50 states, provinces and nations gathered to develop partnerships to reduce emissions, grow their green economies and influence the position their national governments take in the next global agreement on climate change. The summit featured more than 30 clean-tech companies, which exhibited electric cars, solar-powered flashlights and non-toxic cleaning products. The summit helped to fulfill the requirements of the state’s global warming law, AB 32, to coordinate and collaborate with international governments to ensure compatibility, promote maximum environmental protection and promote economic stability.
