A theme park, hotel, and co-financing of feature films are part of a partnership between Warner Bros. Entertainment and two companies in Abu Dhabi. The deal between Burbank-based Warner Bros. and real estate developer ALDAR and Abu Dhabi Media Co. is a move to grow the Warner Bros. business and brands internationally. A 2009 groundbreaking is expected for the theme park and hotel complex to be constructed by ALDAR. Warner Bros. International Cinemas will develop, design and manage jointly owned multiplex theaters to be built by ALDAR. The film production fund will develop and produce film with a broad appeal, with Warner Bros. retaining worldwide distribution options and rights. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will work with Abu Dhabi Media Company to build the infrastructure for the development of new media and digital delivery systems.
