LuminentOIC Inc. reached an agreement to use integrated circuits made by TriAccess Technologies for its next-generation optical networks, the company announced. Santa Rosa-based TriAccess will supply LuminentOIC with its latest version of radio frequency integrated circuits that provide superior high gain and low noise performance ideal for end-of-line fiber networks. The company has committed to purchase a significant volume of the device. LuminentOCI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MRV Communications Inc., a Chatsworth provider of network equipment and services and optical components. LuminentOCI chose TriAccess for its improved signal quality and to enable more flexible network deployment in cable TV radio frequency overlay, fiber-to-the-home applications,” said CEO Near Margalit, in a statement.
