Wireless communications systems from Strix Systems Inc. have been installed in automobile engine manufacturing plants in China, the company announced Wednesday. The deal with Calabasas-based Strix led Dongfeng Honda Engine Co. Ltd. to install Strix indoor and outdoor wireless products in its main automobile engine factory, engine assembly facility and automobile casting plant in Guangzhou, China. The new installation provides access to critical supply, manufacturing and operations information. “This is a major win for Strix,” said Vice President of Worldwide Sales Jim Mooreland. “DHEC is certainly a well-respected name in the automotive industry, and this deployment emphasizes how a wireless mesh network can be a critical component of complex supply, manufacturing, and operations processes.”
