Westlake Village Company Buys Online Training Firm

Software developer Market Scan Information Systems Inc. has acquired a privately owned provider of online training for $36 million. The purchase of Paul D. Cummings World Wide Enterprises Corp. allows Westlake Village-based Market Scan to provide technology and training programs to the automotive and finance industries. The acquisition also expands the company’s customer base and product offerings, said President and CEO Rusty West, in a statement. “The combination of our technology products and Paul’s world renowned training philosophies should revolutionize the way our dealer customers do business,” West said. “Our goal is to empower our customers with the ability to deliver a vehicle from start to finish in less than 60 minutes.” The transaction has been approved by the shareholders of both companies and is expected to be finalized in the next 60 days.
