MGA Entertainment, the creator of the popular Bratz line of dolls, entered into an agreement Tuesday to acquire the Little Tikes business unit from Newell Rubbermaid Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal expected to close in the fourth quarter 2006. Little Tikes is a global marketer and manufacturer of children’s toys, furniture and related items. Van Nuys-based MGA Entertainment is the creator and licensee of toys and games, dolls, consumer electronics, home d & #233;cor, and sporting goods. The sale of Little Tikes is consistent with Newell’s narrowing its focus on businesses best aligned with its strategies of differentiated products, best cost and consumer branding, said CEO Mark Ketchum in a statement. Little Tikes contributed approximately $250 million in revenue for 2005.
