A Burbank company has been tapped by the Canadian Cable Systems Alliance to be the preferred content provider for systems offering video on demand. TVN Entertainment will provide studio feature films, network television shows, and family, childrens and specialty programming to the alliance’s 94-member systems. Under a deal announced Wednesday, CCSA members will choose from 3,000 hours of video on demand content distributed monthly by TVN. “This agreement signals the beginning of video on demand reaching the entire North American continent,” TVN Senior Vice President of Affiliate Sales John Smith said. TVN is a provider of on-demand television programming, management and delivery services and also works with Adelphia, Charter, Comcast and Verizon.
