MRV Communications Inc., in Chatsworth has agreed to sell 19.9 million shares of stock for $3.75 per share to a group of institutional investors. The telecommunications company will earn $74.5 million. The proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes and to support recent revenue growth. MRV may also use the proceeds to invest in new technologies to expand its business.
