Nestle to Build $359 Million Facility in Indiana

Glendale-based food company Nestle USA plans to construct a $359 million, 880,000-square-foot factory and distribution center on a 190-acre site in Anderson, Ind., near Indianapolis. The facility will manufacture Nestle Nesquik Ready-to-Drink and Coffee-Mate products and employ almost 300 people. Construction will begin late this year, with the facility opening by spring 2008. Steve Presley, vice president and general manager at Nestle USA, said that the Anderson site was chosen due to its central location and family-friendly area. “This new facility will enable us to greatly expand our production and distribution capabilities, thereby allowing us to better serve our consumers,” he said.
