IHOP Franchisee to Develop 17 IHOPs Over Next 12 Years

Glendale-based IHOP Corp. signed a multi-store development agreement with franchisee Scott Womack to develop 17 IHOP restaurants over the next 12 years in the Dayton and Columbus, Ohio, markets. “We are pleased to partner with Scott Womack as he takes his commitment to the IHOP brand to the next level,” said Rick Celio, IHOP’s vice president of franchise and development, in a statement. Celio added that the new IHOP locations are part of an overall company plan to expand its franchised operations across the country. “This is an important step that provides for meaningful strategic unit growth as we look to expand IHOP’s presence in under-penetrated markets in the U.S,” he said. Womack signed a previous contract to develop six IHOP restaurants over a six-year period in northeastern Indiana, four of which have been completed. Womack has been a franchisee for 16 years and currently operates six IHOP eateries in Indiana.
