Helinet Looking for Federal Work

Helinet Aviation Services has partnered with two companies to better position itself to provide its services to the federal government, the company announced this week. The teaming of Van Nuys-based Helinet with Cambridge Systems and EC America will allow Helinet to provide federal agencies with its family of gyro-stabilized, high-definition multi-sensor airborne imaging systems. EC America will assist Helinet with guidance through the government scheduling process, said Chris Snyder, vice president of government business development for Helinet. “We wanted a company with a good contracting track record and could compress and accelerate the normal timeline associated with qualification,” Snyder said. The agreement with Cambridge Systems will have that company integrating the latest in sensor technology with Helinet’s high definition gyro-stabilized cameras used in commercial and law enforcement applications. The Helinet cameras will be offered as part of multi-tiered security solution, which encompasses public transportation, port security and emergency response applications.
