Health Net added more than 100,000 new members as it announced the completed acquisition of Universal Care Inc. With the acquisition, Health Net adds about 17,000 Medi-Cal and Healthy Families beneficiaries to its 692,000 current beneficiaries in nine counties. It also adds 8,000 Medicare Advantage beneficiaries and 86,000 commercial members. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
