Diodes Inc., a Westlake Village-based semiconductor manufacturer reported a 113 percent increase in net income for the fourth quarter, ended December 31, 2004. Diodes claimed a $7.3 million profit for the quarter, compared to $3.4 million for the three months ended December 31, 2003. Diluted earnings per share were $0.47 per share for the fourth quarter, as compare to $0.23 for the same period last year. Diodes’ revenues for the fourth quarter were $47.9 million, a 22.2 percent increase from the fourth quarter of 2003, but a sequential decrease of 3.0 percent from the third quarter of 2004. For the full year 2004, Diodes earned a record $25.6 million, or $1.65 per share, as compared to net income of $10.1 million, or $0.70 per share in 2003. Revenues for the 12 months ended December 31, 2004 increased 35.6 percent to a record $185.7 million, compared to $136.9 million in the same period last year.
