SFVBJ FORUM – Last Chance

SFVBJ FORUM – Last Chance With the historic and bizarre California recall election just a week away, candidates are busy making their last-minute appeals to voters, many of whom may have not made their mind up about what they’ll do when they go to the polls on Oct. 7. Will Gov. Gray Davis once again pull a come-from-behind-victory or will the state have a new chief executive shortly? So the Business Journal asks: Do you think Gov. Davis will be recalled and, if so, who will be the next governor? Ben Forat Owner Studio City Hand Car Wash I think he’s going to be recalled. I think the ball has already started to roll so people who didn’t even care before are going to start voting. I really don’t know Davis that well. I just know not everything is his fault. And I think Arnold is going to win. California is such a Hollywood community, and I personally like Arnold because he seems like a pleasant person and says things about wanting to make it a better place. He also has enough money to support what he says. But other than that I am neutral. I hope the best person gets elected. Arnie Friedman President CPI Network Solutions Inc. Westlake Village I don’t believe he will be recalled because at the end of the day, even though there’s a fair bit of visibility for these candidates including Schwarzenegger, the people will vote to keep him. Alex Bordbar Assistant Vice President Philex Enterprises Northridge I don’t think he’ll be recalled. I’m kind of surprised Arnold’s gotten this far. Christopher Allen Director of Corporate Communications Hoffman Video Systems Glendale Based on everything I’ve seen and being an employee of a small business I certainly hope that the governor’s policies are recalled if not the governor himself. But I think Arnold has momentum now. Bill Tracy Executive Assistant Sid & Marty Krofft Pictures He would probably be recalled. I think Schwarzenegger would win. After watching the debate it seemed that people would vote for him. He sounded more positive than the others.
