Accounting Paul W. Dobson has been appointed vice president in charge of the tax department at Kellogg & Andelson Accountancy Corp. Dobson previously was a manager at the firm. In addition, Charles T. McCann has been appointed vice president in charge of the audit department. Banking Rick Balogh has been appointed vice president and manager of the Glendale office of Foothill Independent Bancorp. He will work with customers to design personalized banking packages including financial analysis, loan applications and deposit relationships. He has formerly worked at California Citizens Bank, Security Pacific Bank and Citizens Business Bank. Patricia M. Cheung has been promoted to senior vice president in the treasury division at Union Bank of California. Based in the bank’s Los Angeles office, Cheung will be manager of asset and liability management, investments and funding. She joined the bank in 1984 as vice president and manager of the hedge desk in the treasury division. Tricia Hunter was appointed first vice president in Imperial Bank’s San Fernando Valley regional office. She joins Imperial Bank from Comerica Bank of California in Westwood, where she held the position of vice president in charge of middle-market lending. Jean M. Kuper has been named vice president and manager of global payment systems in the international department of Sanwa Bank California. She will oversee money transfer services as part of the bank’s expanding international department. She was previously a senior executive with Union Bank of California. Jim Parsons has been named regional vice president for Charter Pacific Bank. He will be responsible for the Agoura Hills branch and will oversee business development for the region, which includes the San Fernando and Conejo valleys. Parsons comes to Charter Pacific from Glendale Federal Bank in Woodland Hills. Arby Sanoyans has been named vice president and loan manager of American International Bank. Sanoyans will cover the bank’s Tarzana and Glendale market areas. Sanoyans previously worked at Cedars Bank, Frontier Bank, California Federal Bank and Great Western Bank. Defense James W. Winchester has been appointed president of Woodland Hills-based Litton Industries’ aero products division. Winchester joined Litton in 1997 as president of business development. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of the aircraft systems business unit at Teledyne Controls. Entertainment Marty Greenfield has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer for Burbank-based Warner Bros. Records Inc. He comes to Warner Bros. from Elektra Records, where he served as senior vice president and CFO for four years. Lloyd Scott has been appointed vice president, programming, Universal Studios Networks. He will be responsible for developing programming models for Universal’s international branded networks and other programming opportunities. Scott joins Universal from Fox Net where he had served as executive director of programming, scheduling and acquisitions since 1990. Daniel J. Taylor has been named senior executive vice president and chief financial officer at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., succeeding Michael J. Corrigan, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Taylor was previously MGM’s executive vice president of corporate finance. Health Care Gary Morgan has been promoted to vice president, regional sales for Woodland Hills-based Health Net. He was previously vice president, individual sales. In his new role, Morgan has statewide responsibility for sales and account management for regional sales, which includes working with more than 2,500 accounts and all large group brokerage firms in California. High Tech Tim Langdell has been appointed chief operating officer of Altamira Group Inc., which produces Genuine Fractals and Genuine Fractals Pro Software. Most recently, Langdell was president and CEO of the Edge Interactive Media. Insurance State Farm Insurance has appointed Greg Jones to the position of vice president-California. He will be responsible for all State Farm insurance business in the state and will oversee a workforce of nearly 9,000 employees and agents. His appointment places him among the top five African American executives working for a Fortune 500 corporation in the country. Marketing Premier Parks Inc. has named Sherrie Bang regional marketing vice president/West division. Bang will direct marketing efforts for 14 theme and water parks in the Western division, including parks in California, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. She will be based in Los Angeles. Prior to her promotion Bang served as vice president of marketing at Six Flags California for the past nine years. Security Dan Hoyt has been appointed vice president of operations at North Hollywood-based Boyd & Associates, a private security firm. Hoyt will manage Boyd & Associates’ operations from San Luis Obispo to south Orange County. Previously, Hoyt worked as regional manager for Barton Protective Services.
